Making enlargments in maths

WALT-Enlarge cartoon characters by 2.5 cm for our maths activity this week. ( as you can see I did Gary from Sponge Bob Square Pants )

Refection-I found it hard to use measurements in this art. I didn't really under stand the maths part of this but other then that I really enjoyed it. 

Google docs ninja

WALT:use all differnt tools on google docs Reflection: I found it really average at first nut then this was really useful if you don't know what your doing. My partner and I were clueless and then we knew what we could do on docs like thesaurus and other things.

WALT: write letters to thank everyone who helped us get to wellington.

Dear Rewa

Thank you for all you help leading up to our fantastic trip to Wellington. We really appreciate everything you did for us which included helping at the ice skating rink, selling chocolate, helping with hot lunches and planning our dinner menu.

Some of my favourite things we did down there were the visiting the Parliament Buildings, we learnt lots and got to see where they do the debates. It is really small compared to what you see on TV. I really enjoyed Capital E, it was a cool experience. I was the cameraman however, not a really good one. My all time favourite activity in Wellington was Jumparama and H2O Extreme. We had so much fun at both of these.

We were really sorry to hear that you were ill and couldn’t come with us on our trip of a lifetime. We hope you are feeling better now. We really appreciate everything you do for us. You are very special to all of the students and staff at Kaingaroa School.

Speech 2018

Walt: create a speech that convinces you to stop and think about earth...

Hi my name is Izaiyah and I am going to talk to you today about three serious issues in our world. The first issue is global warming, second is all about being sustainable and last but not least is about the danger of keeping wild animals in zoos. These are all reasons why you should trust me with our future.

Some humans are taking too much oil from out of our earth to sell for millions of dollars. They do not know that by selling fossil fuels and oils they are adding to our massive global warming problem. When fossil fuels are burnt it creates carbon dioxide which is forming a heat trapping blanket over the earth. Our average temperatures are rising every year.. What do you think this is doing to our environment, our oceans and our animals… Let me tell you! It is cause a lot of problems. I have a solution, if you would trust me with our future.

Another reason you should trust me with our future is because I have a solution to sustainability. I strongly believe that all plastic from New Zealand should be banned. Plastic is one of the main reasons why we are going to be living polluted planet but it will not happen if we stop now. I'm not sure if you know but All the plastic that we use goes into the ocean. This affects all our sea life and our environment but it mostly it affects us. But it's should we put it there so we should take the blame and all the consequences.

Zoos are bad because all zoos take every single one of there animals out of there natural habitat just so we can look at them or take photos I think that is not Fear. But if all zoos let the animals go they will die because zoos isn't giving the animals enough space to do what they are meant to do in the wild.

 I hope you believe me now and understand the importance of looking after our environment our marine life and our wild animals so help me help you and trust me with our future.

Reflection-

I think I did well in my formatting but I should have done more facts. I really enjoyed what I learnt about global warming and all the greenhouse gasses...

Kia ora my name is Izaiyah and welcome to my interesting world. Were most native birds are endangered but for now i'm just gonna talk to you about the Kakapo and tell you why.


Firstly what is a kakapo well the kakapo just happens to be a parrot in fact the biggest parrot you'l ever find the kakapo is mostly green but it has bits of yellow on it.
The few kakapo that is still alive is now living at the bottom of New Zealand on two very small islands codfish island , anchor island. now there are less then ninety of them left on earth. Kakapo loves to eat flowers, moss, and berry's like totara berries, kahikatea, and supplejack.


Secondly the kakapo is endangered and this is all thanks to the government back in they brought predators over to New Zealand to take out all the rabbits is was working but all the predators started to kill our native birds including our famous kiwi but if it wasn't for peter our kakapo would have been extinct. Ow yea and the kakapo just happens to be flight less so it was to easy to catch them.


Thirdly to help the kakapo we have a team of kakapo experts to help us raise the kakapo numbers plus we have zoos to help by not making the kakapo extinct.

To conclude now you know what I know about kakapo I hope you learnt lots if this hasn't changed your mind I don't know what will but remember the kakapo cant help there self we have to help them...

Shark Report

THE GREAT WHITE SHARK

Intro Hi my name is Izaiyah and I am going to tell you about the great white shark. When it hunts, how much they weighs and where they live.

The great white shark tend to hunt in the morning at the first two hours of dawn. The great white shark love to eat sea otters and sea lions but as they get older they start to eat bigger prey like rays,fish or other sharks.The great white shark is at the top of the food chain but they are still afraid of killer whales.

Great white sharks weigh 680 kg - 1088.622 kg. The biggest great weight ever recorded was 3323.925 kgs. Great white sharks have sharp teeth. They have six fins,
First dorsal fin second dorsal fin anal fin pelvic fin
Caudal fin pectoral fin.

Great white sharks live off shore in coastal waters and in reefs. They live in temperatures between 12 and 24c they travel in in groups called a school.
